You can save on your heating bills this winter!

If you live in New England, chances are you have your pellet stove blasting just to keep warm inside your home. The outside winter chill doesn't give New Englanders much of a break when it comes to heating their homes.

One simple way to cut back on fuel consumption is to wear an extra layer of clothes. A good polartec, silk or wool base layer helps to keep you warm and dry by wicking moisture away from your body. Be sure to add comfortable layers on top for added warmth. A wool sweater or zip up fleece is a great breathable insulator. A vest can function to warm your core, while allowing your arms ease of movement.

This might be the easiest way to minimize heating costs and be environmentally friendly. So next time you a feeling a little cold, try layering up.
